Are my Google ads actually profitable?
What matters is what's left in your pocket.
Ad dashboards show sales and return on ad spend; they don't show whether an ad made a profit or a loss once product costs are taken out. With your margin entered, adall shows the numbers as profit: what you spent, what the sales left, and whether the ads made a profit or a loss.
01 / Why it matters
High return on ad spend, loss-making ads
Spending 100 on ads to make 300 in sales looks good. But if product costs are 70 % of sales, the sales leave 90, and the ads lost 10. Ad dashboards don't do this sum, which is why decisions so often go the wrong way.
02 / How it works
How it works
Step 1
Enter your margin
In Settings, under Business, enter how much is left of a sale of 100 once product costs are taken out.
Step 2
The numbers turn into profit
The home page's three big numbers become You spent, Left from sales and Profit (or Loss).
Step 3
Real orders, if you like
Your site's developer can send orders straight to adall with a secure key; the docs explain how.
03 / What you get
What you get
One number, one sentence
The last 7 days in three big numbers, each with a sentence saying what it means.
One currency
Every amount is shown in your brand's currency; accounts in other currencies are converted.
Thin data marked
Numbers with too little data to judge are marked separately, so you don't decide too early.
Leave it blank if unsure
If you don't know your margin, adall shows sales instead of profit.
04 / Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
What is a margin?
The share of a sale left after product costs. If a sale of 100 leaves 35 after costs, your margin is 35 %.
Do I have to send my orders to adall?
No. The profit view works with your margin alone. Sending orders means your real orders are used instead of the sales Google counts.
Is my order data safe?
Orders are sent with a key and secret specific to your workspace; the secret is shown once and can be revoked any time. The security docs have the details.
How often do the numbers refresh?
They refresh by themselves during the day; if you don't want to wait, tap Refresh now.
